Canadian Agriculture · Technology · Capital

A trusted navigator for serious capital entering Canadian agriculture.

Forty years on the land and in the boardroom. I find, vet, and structure the opportunities only a local operator can reach — and I help open the way to the capital needed.

Vision & Mission

Why AgNtech Connect exists.

I bring serious capital — and the people who know how to deploy it — together with the founders and operators building the future of Canadian agriculture. Forty years a farmer, an operator, and an investor: my judgment is the engine behind every introduction.

Vision

To help bring the rural economy to its full, sustainable potential — here in Manitoba.

Mission

To bring together people and resources that share these values, from around the globe — building the advanced systems behind sustainable agriculture, secure food, and a clean environment. For all of humanity.

Analyze & advise

Four decades on the land and in the boardroom, put to work for the people who ask. Honest counsel comes first.

Bring in people & resources

Connecting capital, expertise, and the right partners — governments, funds, family offices, operators — to vetted opportunities here.

Build

Backing founders and building companies — as investor, director, and advisor, from concept through to exit.

On this land

This work takes place on Treaty 1 and Treaty 2 territory in Manitoba — the traditional lands of the Anishinaabe, Cree, Oji-Cree, Dakota, and Dene peoples, and the homeland of the Red River Métis. I hold that history, and the peoples who carry it, with respect.

What I do

An operating partner, invested in the outcome.

I've spent four decades farming the land and, at the same time, helping other companies — from start-up to exits — as an investor, director, or advisor. A farm I grew from 480 acres to more than 10,000. Ventures across agriculture, technology, and bioscience. A feature film, financed and delivered.

I can turn a concept into reality.

That's the work: opening the right doors, vetting hard, structuring the deal cleanly, and staying in it afterward — paid to get it right, with my own stake in the outcome.

Who I work with

Three ways in.

Capital entering the sector

Capital, placed well.

Governments, funds, and family offices placing capital in Canadian agriculture. I source and vet the opportunities, structure the entry, and navigate the ownership and review rules that catch outside money off guard — a trusted local who has deployed capital and seen an exit.

Lenders with distressed exposure

A workout, not a write‑off.

For lenders holding agricultural exposure that has turned. I read the operation honestly and structure the workout — restructuring where there’s a path, and finding the orderly outcome that recovers more than a distressed sale. Forty years through hard cycles is the judgment behind it.

Founders raising or scaling

More than a cheque.

The right introductions, a clean structure, first customers, and a real path to capital — including the non-dilutive programs I know how to find. I help get the legs under a business and build real momentum early.

Why it works

Built over forty years.

Access

Four decades and a network across farming, finance, and food, built relationship by relationship.

Track record

An early advisor and investor in a Canadian food-processing facility acquired for more than $400 million. A 10,000-acre farm. A feature film, financed and delivered.

Operator judgment

I've run the cattle, weathered the droughts and the border closures, and made payroll. I know what's real, and what it takes.

Alignment

I take a stake in the outcome. My interests sit beside yours, all the way through.

How it works

Vetted, structured, connected — and I stay in after the introduction.

01

Vet for fit

Every opportunity is screened against clear criteria and current market intelligence — judgment backed by live data.

02

Structure the deal

The right entry, cleanly and compliantly — including the ownership limits and review process that govern outside capital in Canadian ag.

03

Connect and stay in

Matched to the right capital or the right opportunity, with introductions that carry weight — and an operating partner who stays involved.
